With a wealth of experience behind them backing and supporting major Blues acts including Jimmy Rogers, Joe Louis Walker, Robben Ford, and Phil Guy to name but a few, Parchman Farm have notched up a string of credits to their name. Performing on the main stages of many major European blues Festivals including the Lillehammer Blues Festival in Norway, Utrecht Blues Festival in the Netherlands, Jedburgh Festival in Scotland, and appearing no less than three times on the prestigious International stage at the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival, Parchman Farm are without doubt one of Ireland’s most traveled and well-known blues bands abroad. Parchman Farm’s sound is a far cry from the heavy rock style that often passes for blues this side of the Atlantic, so if you want to hear a band whose music is firmly rooted in the true tradition of the blues and played straight from the heart, this is the band for you.

British folk-blues musician Dave Peabody is one part blues scholar, one part producer, one part photographer and one part singer/songwriter. Some of his greatest performances have been at folk festivals, with accompaniment from his long time collaborator, blues and boogie-woogie pianist Bob Hall.

Hall played with one of the early versions of Savoy Brown, Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, T.S. McPhee, the De Luxe Blues Band, and Dave and Jo-Ann Kelly, and has appeared on more than 60 albums. Peabody sings and plays guitar in a variety of acoustic blues styles, including bottleneck slide and finger-picking. He has also recorded with a group called Tight Like That, and he appears on half a dozen albums as a harmonica player with British blues groups like Last Train South, as well as American harmonica ace Charlie Musselwhite and Cincinnati pianist Big Joe Duskin. Peabody has released five albums under his own name and tours the U.S. infrequently; he concentrates his solo touring efforts, on which he accompanies himself on guitar and harmonica, in England, Scotland and Ireland. Peabody's albums, which may be available through import, include Peabody Hotel, a 1973 release for Village Thing Records; Keep It Clean, a 1974 album for Matchbox Records; Come and Get It, a 1976 album, also for Matchbox; Blues In Brussels, 1977, CL Records; Payday, 1979, Waterfront Records; and Americana, 1987, also for Waterfront Records. As a tandem, Bob Hall and Dave Peabody have two albums out: Down The Road Apiece, a 1981 album on Appaloosa Records, and Roll and Slide, a 1984 album for the same label.

Barry, the dynamic front man of top international tribute band Sinnerboy, first saw Rory play with Taste in 1969 and Rory has been his biggest influence and inspiration from that day to this. After the death of his lifelong hero in 1995, Barry resolved to do his best to keep the music and memory of the great Irish bluesman alive and went on to form Sinnerboy, the undisputed top Rory Gallagher tribute band in the world. Last year Barry added another dimension to his repertoire with the solo acoustic show which he has recently toured in Ireland, the UK and on the Continent to rave reviews. Rory Gallagher was renowned for his powerful acoustic work and Barry faithfully recaptures the passion and excitement of his performance. Playing acoustic and steel guitar and mandolin, and with a voice that closely resembles the late Rory’s in pitch and tone, Barry brings all the great acoustic numbers back to life. The extensive repertoire includes all Rory’s acoustic material, along with unplugged versions of some of the most popular electric numbers and a fascinating selection from the work of artists who influenced Rory such as Son House, Ledbelly, Muddy Waters etc. All this is interspersed with colourful anecdotes from a man who really knows and loves his subject. Listen to “ Out on the Western Plain”, “As the Crow Flies”, “ Pistol Slapper Blues” and many, many more including a steaming mandolin workout on “ Going to my Hometown”. his gig is a must for all fans of Rory Gallagher and of good acoustic blues.
