JJ Smyth's is a family owned bar in the center of Dublin city. Home to many a musician, Jazz and Blues alike. It started off as a family owned grocery and public house back in the 1730's, it has changed throughout the years and now you can hear live Jazz and Blues sounds of the city from within it's doors.

JJ's became one of the cities oldest continuous licenses, which has remained on precisely the same site since the 1730's and was the birthplace of the famous Irish poet and playwright Thomas Moore in May 1779. For more information on the history of JJ Smyth's and the house itself check out the history section of the site.

JJ's has live Blues and Jazz music six nights of the week. this is where many a musician got their start and where many of the top names continue to play. To see who's playing this month and what's on in JJ's visit the gigs page above. To see photos of some of the gigs that were held in JJ's just take a look at the gallery.

If you would like to get in contact with anyone from JJ's please visit the contact page for all the contact information. Thanks for visiting.
